How did your parents react? Joe and I flew down to Louisiana for Christmas, and after my parents picked us up from the airport, we went out to breakfast. Did you have morning sickness? Yes, the first trimester was hard due to all the sickness. However, I don’t think I had real ‘morning sickness’ for as long as I originally thought. I had a nasal drip that triggered my gag-reflex. Once I took care of the sinus issue, I had no more sickness!

Did you have any cravings? The first few weeks i craved anything spicy! I ate straight wasabi and put tabasco sauce on everything! Then I craved bean burritos from Taco Bell. My wonderful husband would go out in the middle of the night to get me a bean burrito from Taco Bell. And then it changed to thick, juicy hamburgers, pizza, and milkshakes – and high protein foods.

Did you have any mood swings? YES! Especially during the first trimester. I was a mess. My dear, sweet husband put up with me wonderfully!

Are you a high risk pregnancy? Nope! Everything has been ‘textbook’! Doctor has remarked on how well I’m doing.

Natural or Medicated birth?  Natural, unmedicated.

Who will be in the delivery room with you? My husband and maybe a friend from church

Do you think you will need a C-section? No, I don’t think so!

What’s one thing you miss doing since being pregnant? I miss having the energy to take on more physical projects and exercise with my old intensity. Oh, and cycling! I miss my bike.

Any days you wish you were not pregnant? Yes, there are days I wish the pregnancy were over and I had my baby in my arms instead of my belly. I’m growing weary of having to waddle up and down the stairs and being out of breath all the time.
